    I work in the sears auto department and very rarely do i need to warranty a batt. And we honor our warranty no matter what no questions asked. Most warranty claims are for batteries that are 4+ years and are in the pro rate warranty.

    Question Need help choosing new differential

    I had a Detroit Tru Trac installed a couple years ago and have been happy with it. The clutches in my factory LS were so worn out it didnt work. The Tru Trac is reliable and works when i need it. It is so smooth you cant hear it ingage and disengage like you feared.

    Yeah I work at sears right now and JCI delivers our batteries. I was never sure if they were manufactured exactly like a JCI made for another retailer. They probably are unfortunately.

    I have had good luck with hurculiner on my truck. The most important thing for you will be getting it to stick to the chrome. Talk to a local paint supply for advise/ products.

    99 Fog light question...

    I would look into Hella aftermarket fog lights. They have some that look stock but much brighter. Just need to make your own bracket to locate them in factory spot. I got mine on amazon.

    I still own my diesel but i do miss it as a daily driver. Ive been driving a Subaru Legacy for a while now to save fuel costs. Its a treat when I hop in the truck. If im going to own a truck then its going to be a diesel. Once you go black smoke you dont go back.

    Trickle Charger and Block Heater ?

    I would just make sure the battery maintainer is automatic. So it has a float setting to prevent over charging. Otherwise it sounds like a good idea. I use a maintainer anytime the truck sits for a month or more. i have never hooked up the block heater and the maintainer on the same circuit...

    Two new Diehard Gold batteries! Replaced tore slip joint boot on driveshaft. Tried replacing license plate light bulbs only to realize that the problem is in the wiring. Anyone else have a problem with these lights?

    sears does an alignment for $69.99. If parts are required it will be a little more. They use a laser alignment lift and have fully certified techs.

    When I had my rear axle rebuilt it was $1500.00 in the summer of '08. That was new bearings, seals, ring and pinions, and a detroit trutrac. My problem was my pinion gear shattered. Best of luck to you.

    Washed the truck finally and adjusted the steering gear to eliminate the slop. Feels alot better to drive now.

    33" tires on stock f-250

    If you looking at getting 33" tires you best option would be a 285 75 16. A 285 will have a diameter of 32.8" and they should clear just fine. I have a 2" lift and 315 75 16 tires that are 35" and they clear great as well.

    First Ride?

    My first drive was in a '99 f-550 with a stake bed on back. It had the 7.3 like my truck. It was a loner from my brothers work, and we drove it from san diego to the glamis dunes. Great weekend and i loved the truck.
