Gave the ol PSD a much need bath this evening only to discover that there was some kinda residue left in the bucket. I now have white spots all over my black truck. Gonna have to wash her again in the morning:rant
I need a little insight here guys. I got a new job with a construction company based out of Baton Rouge and was doing a little research in getting my truck tagged in LA when I move down. Is there any possible way to get a inspection sticker with %5 tint all the way around and no cat among other...
I was working down at the end of the world in Louisiana and had to pull the ol Marsh Master back to camp. All aluminum with an inline 4 detroit and floats but she's still heavy.

My 08 GMC w/6.6 LMM and Allison get 15 on the hwy at 75mph. With one of our 18ft boats it averages 12 mpg and if I have our 30ft boat/21ft airboat or a bumper pull camper I get 7-8mpg running 60-65 by hand calc on all. The DPF just kills the mileage on all the new engines. Good thing I get...
I would get it matched to the back. I think its somewhere around 20%. I think its a good "even" look and depending on the police around yer neck of the woods you shouldn't have any problems and it's not to dark to still see out of at night. I've got 20% on my CC GMC and 5% on my CC F-250 and...
Thanks Dave.
Any harm in driving her a little bit? My other truck is still in the shop and does anyone have an idea on the smoke? Talked to a Ford tech and he thought it might be the EGR cooler:dunno
Popped the #2 cylinder glow plug circuit code and need a little insight. What does this mean? Glow plug isn't coming on or going off? Also, I now have a light haze of white smoke at idle and alot of white/blue smoke on hard acceleration from a dead stop. Any ideas?
Lookin for a little insight here guys. I want to get rid of my rear lift blocks and swap to a 4-5" spring and air bags. Are the 99-04 rear springs the same as the 05-07 rear springs? They are easier to find than 05-07 springs and a little cheaper it seems. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I have the BD ccv filter on my 07 and so far no complaints but I only have about 1500 miles on it since the install. The installation instructions are a bit shotty and keeping the hoses from kinking while you put everything back together on the intake can be a bit aggravating. I'm not a big fan...
I am wanting a set of 17x9's for my 07 F-250. What offset do I need to run a 35x12.50 that doesn't stick out to much? Also, does it matter if the wheels are hubcentric?
Some friends and I are making a trip to Nacogdoches, TX for the Red Dirt Roundup concert on the 23 of August. Just wondering if anyone might give a little advice on hotels, places to eat, things to do etc. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I'm looking at adding some additional back up lights to my truck and was wondering what suggestions(brand, size, etc.) anyone might have out there.
I was leaning towards these Go Recon
Should come in handy when loading the airboat in the dark:dunno
GM says that running anything but B5 or ULSD will plug the DPF, cause engine shutdown and "may void the warranty". I'm sure there there is a tolerance built in that allows for a mistake or two. Here's hoping.
Note: This GMC is my work truck. I'm still a faithful SDD member.
My fault for not paying attention but the stickers stating what ppm diesel the pumps had were the same colors  and
I put half a tank of LSD in my new 08 Duramax before I realized what it was. Of course the lady behind the counter had no clue what I was talking about when I asked...
Thanks for the welcome back Stephen!
I may live in Alabama now but I still bleed Georgia Bulldog Red and Black. But if I had to pick between Bama and Auburn it would definately be Bama....Roll Tide.
I will also agree with Cabela's. Probably the broadest selection from one source. Can't wait til they finish building the one in Georgia. My bank account is going to be empty all the time.
I'm not really sure myself Stephen. Correct me if I'm wrong guys (and I'm sure I am) but I believe the larger number using a 305/70R/16 is the width in millimeters and the 70 is the percent of the sidewall height based on the width of the tire.
Bama and ATK,
If you want to run a little bigger tire with a "stock" stance I run 305/70R/16 on my truck. They only rub on really tight turns. It is a 2002 7.3, not sure on the clearence with ya'lls body style, and I'm not exactly sure how the tire sizes work. 285/75R/16 vs. 305/70R/16 =...
