Looking for some suggestions. I'm considering a BD ccv filter,do any of you have this unit? Good/Bad? Also I have the dieselsite coolant filter installed. This is in the same place they have designed the bd ccv filter to be installed, special bracket, etc. Do I : Relocate one of them? Which one? Use a different ccv filter that goes in another location? Here's link to the bd unit BD Power - Product: Crank Case Vent Filters I look forward to any and all opinions.

that is the Mann Hummel filter. its about $165. considering the price of the kit, its not bad, but not great either.

where- can you put it in the same place as the 7.3?

I have the BD ccv filter on my 07 and so far no complaints but I only have about 1500 miles on it since the install. The installation instructions are a bit shotty and keeping the hoses from kinking while you put everything back together on the intake can be a bit aggravating. I'm not a big fan of the mounting location for the catch can, on the outside of the frame in front of the passenger side tire, but it works for now.

I want to install a coolant filter and have yet to figure out where to mount it. So we are somewhat in the same boat. There isn't much room under the hood to move things around. I would think that it would be easiest to re-rout the coolant filter lines and not the ccv filter hoses.

Hopefully this helps.

I put mine on a hand made filter holder mounted to the passengers side of the radiator core support. Keep it high so you won't loose the coolant when you change the filter.
