    I think I paid for parts and materials it was about $2500 give or take some. I am guessing a shop would have cost me about $6k or more. That's just my guess.

    I found a passenger side bracket from a junk yard for $25 bucks. The holes are offset, so I had to cut the bracket off that connects to the firewall and re-weld it to the bottom of the tray, but it fits like a glove! Just another option for the future! Oh and why are junkyard people so grouchy...

    You make a good point NevrKnow. I just spent the last hour researching more, looking at all the other intakes available, getting more confused on what to do. If I can't find a junk yard with a battery tray then I might have to go the other route and actually get an intake setup with a battery...

    Yeah I just learned something new. All excursions have GPCM glow plug controller module. Other trucks had the GPR glow plug relay. Now I am doing Ohm testing outside the valve cover first. I'm getting no reading on the bad side (driver 2,4,6,8) gonna test the passenger side and see what I get.

    Ok I didn't know where to post this thread, and I hope there are some people out there that own "non-commercial" diesel trucks. My 2000 X 7.3 PSD is up for inspection here in NJ. Now my inspection that was done 2 years ago was just for safety stuff, like lights, brakes, suspension, horn, etc...
