    welp, bought a used tranny for $915 (get to keep my broken one for a core in the future) and that includes tax and the cooler that was on the JY truck... going to pay $300 to have it installed + have to purchase the trans fluid and we'll be back up and running... unfortunately I'm shelling...

    That is a good idea to use some $$$ you've already spent and save some while you're at it -- just think what you paid for it several months ago vs what you'd have to pay now! :) And I think as long as you get the barrel good and clean - you should be okay
