    I was hoping that would be the case. I've replaced the switch in my '86 Chevy before and it's a real pain to take the whole column apart. I may take the covers off tomorrow and take a look inside to see what is going on. Thanks for the tips.

    Good thought.... I had my fingers crossed when I tried it, but no luck. I'm thinking that maybe there is a short in the switch? If it were in the wires (at the tail lights, for instance), it should act funny anytime you try to use it. This one only acts up when you push it all the way up...

    swaping gauges

    I would think that it would be plug and play. The only thing they did was change the look of the cluster... no reason to rewire it. I don't believe that there is a tranny gauge on the old cluster though, so you may have to throw a wire in for that.

    I got my fuel filters fromm Amsoil for ~$45. I'll probably get the Motorcraft oil filter when I change my oil (even though I will have the Amsoil bypass kit installed by then).

    Well, I changed out both filters and drained the HFCM. I cycled the key 10 times and started her up. Ran fine for about 4 minutes... was getting ready to get in and go around the block and it started sputtering and then died. Now she won't start... it sounds like she wants to, but no luck...

    CEL came on again today, so it's going to the dealer tomorrow. I'm almost positive that it's going to the the Turbo... hopefully they won't give me any flack about it and will just replace the whole damn thing. Not looking forward to spending $100 everytime the light comes on. :doh:
