I don't see why not. I seriously doubt that Ford changed the sending units on the engines from 03-04 to 05-07. They are the same engines. Go for it.

I know that there was a guy on one of the forums I'm on that was in the process of doing this. I'm not sure if he ever got it done or if it worked. I think that it would be cool to do as I'm with you and like the newer style gauges.

I would think that it would be plug and play. The only thing they did was change the look of the cluster... no reason to rewire it. I don't believe that there is a tranny gauge on the old cluster though, so you may have to throw a wire in for that.

hijack on:

just to throw a wrench into this discussion of "will it or won't it" -

for those who remember, my oil dipstick shattered and went to buy a new one....guy at part counter says "nope, don't got them in stock, oh i said, how much anyway, oh lets see - $7, cool i said.....his computer is giving him trouble, he then says what year is it, an '03, he clicks away on the puter, oh i have them in stock. goes and gets it, comes back and says $17....." i pitched a small fit saying that he just told me $7 now it is in stock and $17..... he says "oh, i thought you said it was for an '07" WTF diff does it make it is all the same motor i said....he did not have an answer for me and just sat there....:rant:eek:

anyone know of solid proof of as to why the "oil dipstick" is changed from 03-07 and for $10 more?

hi jack off.

the point being - you may have issues w/ the cluster:sorry:doh:
