    In general I am wary of ebay vendors who charge 100% of the product price for shipping. I recently bought something and was charge $11.40 for shipping. When it arrived, the stamp was for 80 cents. To me, that is just borderline fraud.

    if you factor in diesel (the European models) getting more than twice the mileage, you get your wish. Pollution is going to be caused by burning a gallon of fuel. Which pollutes more; going 57 miles on one gallon of diesel or going 57 miles on 3 gallons of gasoline?

    not according to this article. on a side note - look at the caption under the picture of the Citroen - the diesel-powered Citroen gets "57.4 miles per gallon of gasoline". It would help if the reporters were not totally stupid.

    matter of preference really. the 7.3 injectors are more forgiving when it comes to fuel quality. I run b100 if/when I can get it and am adding a Racor prefilter just because quality is sometimes sketchy. It will clean your system much more quickly and thoroughly.

    also, see if there is a 1/2" square hole on top. You can stick a socket wrench in there to break it free if it does.

    hey lifted, havent seen you in awhile. just fyi, the station at RR 12 and 290 (used to be Mobil) has b20. you have to drive up to the pump to see the label.

    well I got it. It was hardly worth the 4 hours it took but it's on there now. it makes the clutch feel good and I wont have to fool with that stupid plastic bushing anymore but I wouldnt do it over again. Here is a picture of how worn the eye and the arm pin were.

    Im wishing I had never started this damn project but here it is. I bought the ebay clutch linkage "fix" and now have it irreversibly started. I got it all put in (a HUGE PITA and hardly worth it) and the clutch did not go in far enough to even start. So now I have the damn thing off again...

    maybe. you can thank the sierra club and thier ilk. all over Texas you will see burnouts on the highway shoulder from cars stopping and igniting the grass. It is not uncommon at all for it to be several inches high. Hunting and farming areas will be just that much worse.
