    but it appears to be a torx bit bolt that would only be tightened or loosened thus going toward the front or rear. Maybe I just need to try it but Im not visualizing it closing the door more tightly. I'll see what I can make it do.

    no whistle but I can see more light than usual around the jamb. Seems to open/close ok although i get a click (feel rather than hear) in the inside door handle as I pull it to open. Closes fine.

    well, I went alum to reduce the cost and because I live in an arid climate. If you aren't looking to make it a decoration why spend the extra $$? If you want the shine, alum won't do it for you. Kind of a toss up depending on what you want out of it. Take pics!

    I think I might start my own ebay kit and sell it for 100. when I replaced mine I spent $27 for SS braided teflon. I did not replace the small pieces and have had no issues. I believe they go to the hard lines around the filter bowl.

    I did that same thing using a mismarked pump in my old IDI. I had it siphoned out and refilled with diesel and it was fine. Granted, the IDI was probably more forgiving than a 6.0 but maybe it wont be any problem. Let us know what happens!
