but it appears to be a torx bit bolt that would only be tightened or loosened thus going toward the front or rear. Maybe I just need to try it but Im not visualizing it closing the door more tightly. I'll see what I can make it do.

No, when you loosen the torx screw it allows the whole pin to move either in toward the cab more or out towards the edge of the jamb more in a slotted hole, it will also move vertically.

The pin is not threaded into the door jam itself, but rather into a plate inside the jam when you loosen the pin with the torx bit the whole pin and plate can be moved in or out or up and down to get the right fit. I did the ones on my truck and made the doors close so air tight you had to crack a window to get the doors to shut easily. You only need to lossen the pin a small amount (half a turn or so) to move it. Don't take it competely out, IIRC the plate will fall down into the jam making for a bad day.

If the door , or the hinges are bent, you can fix it by a small block of wood in the hinge that keeps the door from closing.Use the door as leverage ,a little at a time, you should be able to bend it back to where it started. The only other thing is to do as said, loosen the hinges from the body, but that usually requires removing the door from the truck.If you look at where the hinges mount to the body, if there is a gap between the hinge and the body, something is for sure bent....
