are the doors adjustable in anyway? A few months ago I noticed from the outside the gap around my driver's door is very large and you can stand there without touching the door and can see the labels (clearly) on the door in the jamb area.

I cannot imagine how my door could have become out of whack but if there is a way to "tighten" it back up and into place I would appreciate the input.

Thanks!

Bushings on the pins? When the door is open can you lift it up and down quite a bit?

I haven't checked specifically but I seem to have some vague recollection of the door going up a little as I pull it closed. I'll have to check this afternoon.

If so, can/what will fix it?

edit - just went down and checked - no detectable play. Our security guard has a 96 and says his is the same way. He speculated it was from years of bracing on the door as you climb in causing it to get out of adjustment. Maybe I'll stop by a body shop and ask what they could do. I looked closely and could read the door label and could see the rubber seal.

Another question? Does it open and close smoothly and does it whistle in the wind (more than normal)?

no whistle but I can see more light than usual around the jamb. Seems to open/close ok although i get a click (feel rather than hear) in the inside door handle as I pull it to open. Closes fine.

Loosen up the door pin at the latch(on the cab not the door itsself) You can adjust it to make the rear of the door close tighter to the body. It takes a torx bit.

There is a crap load of adjustment to the doors, Did the wind pull it out of your hand at anytime lately..If so ... the hinges or the door is bent. Is the gap at the fender smaller than it used to be?...

open the door and look inside between the door and fender.there are 3 bolts on both hinges where it is attached to the cab.you can loosen these bolts and move the door back.only do a little at a time.do not loosen all 6 bolts at the same time!!loosen 2 then loosen the third a little so you can wiggle the door backwards.

yes, actually, this has happened more than once. we sometimes get gusts over 50 mph and the door has several times been swung wide fast and hard.

I did not get a look at the fender gap yet. I'll check.

Russ - I saw the pin you mentioned - can you tell me a little more how it works? I was looking at it and it just looks to go into the frame parallel to the body rather than tighter/looser across. Im not seeing how it will pull the door tighter but that would be the easiest thing to try.

Thanks guys.
