Help Needed ISSPRO Turbo Timer help needed

It sounds like phx250 has a handle on it, read his last 2 posts real slow, taking it a step at a time, and i think you'll get it. You need on constant "hot" wire, and one keyed"hot" wire, and it should work fine. But don't forget to "trim" it too!

Help Needed skip on cylinder 8

Corrct me if i'm wrong, but I believe what BigJoe is referring to by saying a "hot" mix, is that he reccomends mixing a stronger ratio of diesel kleen in your fuel(ie more additive to less fuel) I've used regular Atf in my fuel for years also, and it does seem to work to clean the injectors...

    6spd fluid

My big issue I guess, is that "some" of the manuals say that maybe you can't use muti application fluids(dexron/mercon), they never say yes you can, or no you can't. But I've heard from the transmission guys that you have to use the special mercon for manuals available only from ford. seems...

Truck not safe to drive - Steering problems

Don't forget about the wheel bearings too, these trucks have a notorious problem with wheel bearing/ hub assemblies going bad. Could be axle joints, like mentioned above, could be ball joints, could be loose tie rod ends, could be loose u-bolts. Basically, have the front end checked out by a...

    Starter Problem!!

The clicking sound your hearing is the solenoid working like it should(don't need a new one necessarily). The problem you have, is the starter motor is bad. You need a new one. The starters come with a new solenoid on them, so I don't change the solenoids by themselves. Jmo Also, check to...

    6spd fluid

Ok all you lever lifters out there, I'm curious about what atf your using in the zf six speed, I just had mine rebuilt:doh: and I am looking for something a little more tolerant to high temps. Synthetic would be nice, and ford wants an arm and a leg for their "mercon" fluid. Also whats the...

    Question Steering Damper Replacement

When you replaced the steering stabilizer, did you replace all the hardware? or just the "shock" itself? If you replaced the hardware itself, you can easily get the hardware "off" on its placement on the tie rod. Undo one end of the "shock" and let it hang while you turn the wheel, turn the...

Help Needed help please lift question?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

The center pins in the blocks will corrode and wedge themselves into the axle perches and springs, sometimes it takes a big hammer and some penetrant to free them up, but be careful, because once it comes loose, it really comes loose. Don't be under it, don't ask me how i know!

    Question 97 Hub issues??

For what it's worth, anything is better than the ford auto hubs. You can't trade down with almost any brand of manual hubs. Autos SUK! jmo :rant

    Question 97 Hub issues??

Good job on the saving money thing, leaves you some left over for the fun stuff! The warn hubs are obviously good, but more money than superwinch, there's something to be said about customer service though. If there that good to deal with, try em. I've never heard of an actual superwinch...

    Question 97 Hub issues??

As long as the spindle is o.k. then you should just be able to replace the washer and clip, I know some ford models you can buy a whole retaining kit with everything you need except the bearings, check with ford on that one. And don't forget to check that outer bearing really good, if there is...

Clicking and pinging from rear end

Does the truck have to "move" in order to get it to make noise, or can you just "load" it up with the park brake on? If you don't have to be rolling, can they put it on the lift and get under with a stethescope to listen while someone "loads" it? Sounds like a problem with the transfercase or...

    Best oil for 6.4

You can extend your oil change intervals if you have some sort of aftermarket oil filter and you take oil samples regularly, but you can't just extend your intervals without external filtering. And most recommend still changing the filters at 3-5000 miles, but not draining the oil till the...

    FPR Broke

We went through this a while back when I broke my buddies housing, after running around on the web, and calling everybody, I found that Ford was the inly place to get one, and It had to be ordered in at my local stealership. Costs about 100.00 bucks with tax. Sucks,I feel for ya' I've been...

Help Needed help please lift question?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Definately NO lift block stacking, no if ands or buts, or you will lose the rear axle outta your truck on acceleration! You've got a bad situation because you need the truck, but you don't have all the parts you need to complete the install. You either need a new spring pack to go with your...

    Question Ball Joints

Dana/spicer in my experience have been good stuff, factory parts on alot of vehicles. Moog is the best for aftermarket parts, not sure how they compare to the dana stuff in price. I did alot of ball joints back in the day for more than 600.00, so seems pretty reasonable to me, but if yiou can...

    Question Turbo popping off-Loosing boost

Sounds like a intercooler boot popping off, check all you're connections and make sure they don't pull off with a tug. Bet one is loose, but not all the way off till you get high in the boost. could even have a split in the boots that bleeds off under high pressure.

    Fuel pressure too high?

You can try unplugging the icp sensor I believe, of it starts to run better, you know you have a problem with the sensor. The computer will put the computer into "limp" mode when you unplug it and cause the engine to run on a predetermined value, bypassing the "bad" sensor. With the idm, im not...

    Check Engine Light (diesel)

Every time that check engine soon light comes on , it sets a code in the ecm. You need to get a code reader to read the codes. Once you know what particular component the ecm is finding a fault with, you can then figure out what steps to take to diagnose the problem. These ford diesels...
