but hold the rear axle plus 240lbs from going down, i didnt see any lines that were tight, i stepped on the axle to " help" it go down and not a thing. im calling in a few hours and ill post back this afternoon

The center pins in the blocks will corrode and wedge themselves into the axle perches and springs, sometimes it takes a big hammer and some penetrant to free them up, but be careful, because once it comes loose, it really comes loose. Don't be under it, don't ask me how i know!
