    Question Oil Consumption

cut o ring once...sure, I'll buy it...but having a cut one again, AND not seeing any change when all o-rings were replaced...its suspect to me. on the fuel pressure...given my symptoms...would you think it points to too much or too little fuel pressure?

    Question Oil Consumption

I think breakout box is what you are referring to? iracemine, I had all the o-rings done when my turbo was replaced back in April. The problem was there both before and after the o-rings were replaced. It smells like fuel...but how do I know its not a mix of oil and fuel? Joe, I'd love...

    Question Oil Consumption

something i just thought of... I shimmed the fpr a while back...had it right around 70 (i think just a hair under). i cant remember when i did all this...seems like it might have been after the injectors had been replaced, but i really dont know. is there a chance that the fuel pressure...

    Question Oil Consumption

no. prior to the 3 injectors being replaced, it ran like a top. shortly after they were replaced, i noticed this issue, and it has been there ever since (which has been 2 years)

    240,000mi

original injectors, hpop? what all has been replaced/done to it? I'd be really be suspect of the tranny...an Excursion is heavy...and thats a lotta miles on the original tranny. It would have to be a hell of a deal for me to consider that.

    Question Oil Consumption

so the question is...can a bum injector cause oil consumption? another observation i've had...at idle...the exhaust just doesnt smell right. you know how when you first start it up, and you smell unburnt fuel, but then it goes away? Thats kind of what mine smells like all the time...

    Question Oil Consumption

agreed. 1. that tells me its not a tunig issue because it happens with no chip, and that makes sense...chip on = more fuel, more oil pressure etc. 2. true, but all seals/o-rings were replaced on all 8 injectors when the turbo was redone. i cant imagine that those injectors being...

i highly doubt its the turbo as it was just replaced about 10k ago. I had this problem before the turbo went south, and when the brand new turbo went in, nothing changed at all. shaft is nice and tight last i checked. no one thinks this is an injector?

    Question Oil Consumption

So I've notied my truck is using oil. No leaks at all. Everything in the motor is dry around the HPOP, HPOP lines, Valve Covers etc. I change the oil every 5k, and when I do, I ensure that the level is at the top of the full mark. I'm getting close to changing it, and I am now almost at the...

    Door Ajar Light???????

if you've tried the trick (squirting A LOT of it in there, and opening and closing the door repeatedly...and I mean A LOT), then the sensor will more than likely need to be replaced. It is located very close to the latch on the door and can be accessed by taking the door panel off. Should be...
