240,000mi

would you guys consider buying a 2002 7.3 4x4 excursion with 240,000.
drives good,shifts good(original tranny),and a good price.

original injectors, hpop? what all has been replaced/done to it? I'd be really be suspect of the tranny...an Excursion is heavy...and thats a lotta miles on the original tranny.

It would have to be a hell of a deal for me to consider that.

It would have to be a real good looking X and I would have to be wanting one real bad and the price would have to be real good before I would buy it. I would plan on a trip to Lead Hill ,AR in the price of the X and that would be a little over $4000.00.

My main concern is the tranny,but when it break I'll make that trip to AR.
Everything is stock on the X accept for the alternat and starter

What they askin for it? Sounds good to me. Yea tranny would probably be gettin weak. Just smell the tranny fluid for a burnt smell and make sure it shifts good and Id say you'd be alright. If you get it cheap enough a tranny rebuild wouldnt be that bad. Wonder if its just highway miles or tow miles? The rest of the truck would fall apart before the motor would. My truck has over 254k on it with the original tranny. Maintenance was done alot on it so that helps.

What color is the X and how is the body, can you post some pictures of it. I think a X is worth rebuilding if you need one for a large family or towing a boat or RV. You should be able to get many more years of service out of it.

$8000 I would have bought it also! I have 418,000 on my 2002 f250. I ran the original trans until 400,000 and towed everyday of the week! I had one of the lucky trans or flushing the trans every 25,000 miles did it. Im getting a X for my wife after we buy our next house! post some pics!!
