the sludge on the intake is probably more related to the CCV/EGR dumping soot into the intake system. tdi's are notorious for this. 35k miles are not unheard of for clogged intakes running crappy fuel. then again, we are armchair quarter-backing here.

i agree with you bush, WVO is very much labor intensive, cost benefit is negligible unless you own billy bob's chicken shack and are generating the WVO onsite.
Zooke40- how bad are the MB intakes? do they get as bad as the VW's? do you guys even clean them or just change them out?
