has anyone wired a streamlight flash light charger to an auxilery switch in a f250? thanks

I got one in my 2001, wired directly to the battery with a 20a inline fuse and groud to chassis. They have smart technology and cannot overcharge the light or the spare battery. So the only draw is the led's on the charger, nothing but milli amps. Wish i had a picture to show cause i've been told it looks factory right under the dash in the center on the black cover.
