Anyone know if the stock 17" wheels from an '06 will fit an '02? Both are F250 4x4s.

I tried a set of factory 20's from an '07 on my 2000 and the bolt pattern was off by just a shade. Could probably used a pencil grinder to open them up a bit but im not a big fan of messing with something like that. One of the few time where "if it dont fit, force it" doesnt apply. ;)

At some point early 2000s Ford switched from the standard 8 on 6.5 bolt pattern to 8 on 170mm. It is close but the 2 aren't interchangeable.

No! stock 17's will hit the tie rod end so you cannot even get them to bolt up unless you add wheel spacers.

Not sure on the 17's but i saw an 04 the other day with an 05 nose and 06 18" eight hole wheels. Could tell it was an 04 by the emblems and he used 04 center caps

they changed the backset when they went to coil springs vs. leafs.. so this is a good rule of thumb..
and they changed the bolt pattern as already discussed..
