I see on the OBS part # thread it has Glow Plug Relay part #'s. I tried the autozone "MR99" and it doesn't work because it's case grounded. Does anyone know if the GPR-109 will work (is not case grounded)? Napa has those for $31. I found that O'Reilly's has a "GPR11" for $79. That is listed as the original in their system. Thanks in advance.

I have only READ about these relays from other people on other forums it is: 586-902
I have heard that this is heavy duty enough to last 3-4 times longer than OEM and NAPA's realy. If anyone else can pick up on this they might tell you more. The next time I need a relay, who knows how soon, I will get this one. They say it is a tight fit but will work and fit.

That relay is isolated, which means it is NOT grounded internally. You get to hook up the coil to ground externally.

DaveBen,
Are talking about the GPR-109 is isolated? How do I hook up the coil to ground externally? Should I just go with the 586-902? Thanks.

I was talking about the 586-902. I don't know about the GPR-109. If you can find out whether or not is is internally grounded then you can use it if it is NOT grounded (isolated).

GPR109 is exactly the same as the OEM, with the exception that it is clocked 90* off. The wires still reach, but it is tight. As others have said though, the Stancor works great, and Mouser is the place to get it.

I did the Stancor and doubt I will ever need another GPR. I went through 6 GPR's in 8 years, including 1 GPR109.
