Who do you use for Oil Analysis???

I'm doing the bypass thing soon and need to start testing.

Who do you use?
What do you pay?
Do they keep your history?
Results format easy to understand?
Do they speak in "oileese" or interpret the report for you?

I use Blackstone. Each new report has the previous reports with it. It is detailed but they also give their impression.

Now, nobody shot me for this, but if you mention you are from TDS, they give you a discount, 18 instead of 20.

Most around here use http://www.blackstone-labs.com/ . Oil analysis is about $20 US per sample and you get a complete printout of what is in your oil. NO explanation though.

Looks like I'm doing Blackstone. I just ordered 6 kits for 111.54 Postage included, that's 18.59/ea. I like that they don't make you buy 20+ to get a discount.

I get my samples run for 13 dollars through local Caterpillar dealer. I don't know how many you need to buy for this price, i usually order 10 at a time. Our extended waranty Cat machines get free samples for 5000 hours, on everything, engine, trans, hydraulic, and both diferentials.

Give it a try at your local Cat dealer, see what they would charge you.

Naming that other website won't get you an $18 sample anymore. Blackstone sent out an email earlier this month saying that the "insider" price is $20 for a single test. 'Bout time I ordered a 6 pack though.

OIL Analysis

when I do them I use Blackstone use them about 2 times a year on my mowers and autos
