dp, i saw a product in trucks-n-trends magazine a month or so ago.

it slid into the hitch receiver, it had enuff room to put an extra key, cash (if needed for emerg.) stuffl like that. it also came with a keyed lock for the hitch pin.

it looked like any normal decorative hitch receiver. you couldnt tell what it actually was.

i will see if i can find a link on it.

I've seen them fake rocks where you can hide a spare key. You can put your key in one of them and if you lock yourself out of your truck, you can toss the rock thru the window.:thumbs :roflmao :roflmao

I'm a member of AAA and they cut me a door key out of a plastic credit card to keep in my wallet...for free.

I always keep one of those as well, Just be careful because they are more fragile than you think. If you break it off inside you just added another head ache to an already frustrating problem. I never thought those key pads on the doors would ever be something I would use until I got this truck and now I use it constantly.

Anyway, You could put it in one of those magnetic boxes and stickit inside your hitch reciever.

Along the same lines of something that was already mentioned, but I had a spare door key bolted under the frame with a wing nut. You couldn't see anything but the head of a carrage bolt from underneath, but it was easy to get at. Very cheap too...

I would steer clear of the little magnetic boxes.

I keep my spare in my pocket with my house keys. The ignition key is on another ring with the remote-start button. If I hid a key on the truck by the time I needed to use it I would have forgot where I hid it.... wait a minute I think there might be one under the..........

i supose you could get any hitch cover that was hollow and use it for a spare key nook.... it probably wouldnt keep cash safe and dry but i wouldnt strap it to my truck anyhow.... and you'd have to get a hitch lock pin that has a code instead of a key cause MY key would be on the keychain along with the truck keys that are convienently plugged into the ignition of the locked cab.
