Where to buy ring-and-pinion?

Where is the best place to get a rear-end ring-and-pinion set for my truck? I have an axle seal leak, which I will fix probably when I can buy the ring-and-pinion, and it has caused the gear oil to leak out and cause some wear. Not too major....YET. I'm not sure what my ratio is but I think its about a 4:10, and I know I have to buy what was in it to begin with to match my front end. I have seen regular gears and then I have seen THICK. gears....which should I get. I dont use 4x4 that often, only when I need it. Thanks

And would my truck have the 10.25"? I think thats what it is but I'm not too sure what that actually is asking about. Is this something I can do at home by myself or with help? I'm a sewing machine mechanic so I'm use to taking something apart and putting back together. Any links to sites showing how to do it would be great. Thanks guys.

you should have stamped metal tags at like 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock secured by the cover bolts. they will give you the info you need to ID the axle and ratios.

Thanks. I found the seal and its about $40. Is that all I need to buy to redo the seal?...as far as keeping the fluids in. I know I'm going to have to buy more gear oil. If that is all I need to buy then I'll go ahead and fix that to prevent any further damage and just prey that the gears hold up for a while. They are still in pretty good condition. You can notice a little wear on them. I have a kid on the way and I'm trying to save all that I can.
