So I just dropped my tranny pan and went to replace teh range sensor and I can't see anything that looks like the part Ford sold me!

When you drop the tranny pan, the range sensor should be right there in plain view, right? The range sensor they sold me doesn't seem right. Its like a 1/4 circle in shape, black in color and about the size of a piece of pie. Sounds like the range sensor for the other automatic tranny in the gas S/Ds.

Any help would be appreciated (pictures would be amazing! lol)

What do you drive??? We can't help you if you don't tell us. Fill out your signature by going to the USER CP in the Blue Line above and fill out your signature so we can better help you.

the range sensor is on the left side of the case, above the pan..
the selector shaft runs through it.

I got it done today. Not that hard of a job, but frustrated the hell out for me for a little bit because I forgot to put the little valve in the tranny in the nipple of the selector plate. Baffled me why the truck wouldn't go into Park or Reverse lol.

It's good now (at least I think...)
