I have been using http://www.wunderground.com/ for a few years but here recently they have been worthless. There report today says "Highs 10 below to 15 below" but it is currently -29. When they say snow it is clear and when they say clear it snows. I like planning a day or two in advance when the driveway will need plowed and I up the temp in the shop a few degrees when it gets real cold out. What online weather reports do you guys use? I am thinking that all the weather reports might come from one central source like the national weather service and if so they will all be wrong:dunno

:roflmao :roflmao :sorry :sorry couldn't resist

I usually just look at the NWS, they are just as wrong as everybody else, but in their defense predicting mother nature is not as easy as we would like to think.

I think where the problem here is, is mis-interpretation of the weather forcast.

When they say
"Highs 10 below to 15 below"
That means the highs will be "10 below to 15 below" where it was yesterday.:freezing :freezing

When they say "still and clear", that means it is still snowing and it's clear up to ur arse. :thumbs

When they say the snow is going to stop coming down, that doesn't imply an improvement in the weather. It may stop coming down and just start going sideways. :tounge :tounge

www.weather.gov - http://pafg.arh.noaa.gov/zonefcst.php?zone=AKZ222

".TONIGHT...BECOMING MOSTLY CLOUDY. LOWS 30 BELOW TO 40 BELOW.
TEMPERATURES STEADY OR RISING TOWARD MORNING. LIGHT WINDS.
.TUESDAY...MOSTLY CLOUDY. HIGHS 10 TO 20 BELOW."

i think its a little more accurate. its kinda like the main portal to all data form nooa. i find noaa too fragmented to navigate quickly. at least with the weather.gov site, all the data ends up either linked or there.

if you want desktop type stuff- have you checked out yahoo's widget engine?

Used to use weatherbug, but it had so much spyware associated with it that I nuked it.

I usually just go to The Weather Channel. Hell, nunna them are EVER right.

Or, you could get it straight from the horse's mouth...:freezing

THIS is where all the other sites get their info (not a real good testimonial to their accuracy, I know). :roflmao :D
