well with manual hubs, the only line you should not have then would be the vac line....you should at least have the brake line AND abs line.....as i said, i think someone replaced it before you took ownership and either cut it off OR bought a hub w/o abs line/fitting.....i was careful when ordering mine to be sure i got one w/ abs....

hope you get it sorted out AND your tranny issue.

here is my ignorance though: did the 2000 come w/ front abs? i know it was mentioned that it was fitted w/ the line - was/could it have been an option?

I was under the impression that they all had it. However, a quick check of the parts catalog reveals that not to be the case.

Whenever you change out those crappy ass hub bearings just get some with abs holes they come with the plugs.
