whats the difference dually vs srw bed

are dually truck beds a reg srw bed with the added fenders on it or are they different with out the dually fiberglass fenders attached? wanting to replace my bed due to messed up floor, found a dually one clean but will it look ok with out the extra fenders

the bed is the same

HOWEVER where the top of the dually fenders attach you will find holes for the track that is attached to the skin that holds the fender on. there are also a few down each end as well.

you could fill em and paint it

how did i find out??? I hit a orange BIG road cone in my 02 and knocked the fender up off this bracket.

The area around the lip of the fender is also cut out a bit.

I would wait, there are a lot of beds around go find a new take off. If you keep your eyes open you can find a good deal

As "Neat'n Clean" as you seem to be about yer truck.. In the Long Run yul be happier with a simple Re-Paint. Filling, grinding, body filler... with 4X4 fun stuff.. jus don't git it ?

alright, thanks , what year beds work on our trucks 99- will the newer 08-09 work also?

Bears 4X4, I think the 08-09 beds will work. You might try a local Ford dealer. My dealer in McKinney, TX had several white beds sitting outside their shop recently that had been removed in favor of a "specialized" body.

there is a place on US 287 just north of hwy 380 in denton he has tons of new take off beds on the lots

its not far past the O harlies catfish jointage

Deffinately stay away from the dually bed , it would be way too much work to make it straight . Holes and wheel lips are cut out 3/4 of the way around .
