Honestly though, asside from your own personal enjoyment of the car.. that 1/4 mile car won't be any fun for anyone else unless they don't mind watching you. Something made for 1 purpose, you the owner can figure out how tame it is to but you probably wouldn't let anyone else race it, muchless drive it down the street and back.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to own a 10.5 1/4 mile drag car, but you can bet you'll spending a lot of time working on it. If you can't justify working on it, and only legally driving it on a race track, then I wouldn't do it otherwise go for it.

I'd keep the boat myself, sell it; don't trade it. That car might have more problems than it seems, even if there's a lot of shadetree work done on it, that's still a problem to me regardless if it runs 10.5s or not.

That you for all the posts. I have talked to some of my racing buddy and they all say the same thing. Keep the boat. Don't need the money, but ready move to a bigger boat. Think I am going to 32ft fountain. I went and looked at the car and it is 100% drag. But it didn't come with a trailer. Again thanks for the all ya'll info on this subject I will take all my SDD buddies advise.

Make sure the new boat is turbine powered.

I would love to have a turbine. I was on a web page that all they did was put turbines in boats. Nothing sounds cooler than a turbine starting up.
