I realize this is only my second post and i'm already asking for a favor :stir

i'm going to look at an '02 PSD with 144,000 miles. it's an XLT, 4x, long bed, 250, asking $10,495. my question is should the mileage concern me? are there any specifics i should look at that would trigger a "no sale"? the pics look good, but i don't know what the underside looks like. it does look like there is a brake controller mounted to the underside of the dash. ANY input would be greatly appreciated. thanx in advance for the help.

Private owner, or a Car Lot ??

144K isn't really a lot of miles. It's All About the Maintenance.

Typical stuff, check the trans fluid (bright red good). Look at the underside, bump stops, etc. Drive it. Be sensitive to wandering, sloppy shifts, any odd vibrations... Just your typical test drive.

it ended up not being what i was hoping. it looked like it may have been wrecked and it had defnitely been repainted. when i picked up the plastic bedliner, it had rubbed off the white paint and showed a yellowish-orange paint underneath. it also had a sludge on a the bottom of the engine/tranny. thanx for the help guys!!
