What brand, size, style floor jacks are you using to lift your Superduty?

I want to buy one that would lift one side up at a time if possible for tire rotation instead of having to jack one corner at a time. Of course safety stands are used once it is up but just don't like having to move the jack around so much. Also what height does the jack need to lift to clear the tires off the ground?

8 Ton bottle jacks are readily available, yet small and easy to store and work with.

A few blocks of various sizes, and a good set of Jack Stands, suitable for the weight (?) Say 10,000 lbs... Yer Good To Go.

:dunno

I have an 8 ton (Sears).. use it to jack up one side to do just as you describe. The 5r too.

I have a MAC Tools 3 Ton Floor jack that lifts up the front or the back with NO problems.

I have two 3 ton floor jacks that I use to jack up my truck. I have a couple of 12 ton bottle jacks that I used to use on my Kenworth C-500. They will jack up the truck with out any sweat.

if yer trying to lift one side at a time, reach is more important than capacity..
see if Auto Zone can get you a Larin (yeah, I know, China...)
Welcome to Larin Corporation

Kind of hard to find anything not made in China now days. The rate we're borrowing from China we may all have to learn an oriental language to live here.

I've got a 2 1/4 ton small floor jack now probably from China that will lift the front corner no problem but the problem is my being able to get down on the ground to put the little short sucker ubder the correct spot. I would love to have a nice extended reach floor jack to avoid getting down. Neck surgery in the morning to fix the problem none too soon.

Can't justify putting $300-400 in a jack tho and will have to look around a bit more. My shop is a 32X60 and I have room to work around on things when I can keep the little misses junk out of my way.

None of my jacks are made in China. I would not use a Chinese jack(s) to lift my truck. I value my limbs and life too much.

Good luck on your neck surgery, that don't sound like any fun, where's it is going to be at?

Im having it in Laurel. There's a specialist there from Birmingham who will do it at South Central Regional Medical Center. Gotta have some relief. Maybe I should just lube the ole neck up with some WD40. Heard it helps Arthur in the joints.

Thanks WD40

how tall is the ceiling?
with a shop that size, you have plenty of room for a two-post above-ground lift, and I bet you could pick a used one up for about $1500.

the only mitigating factor would be the ceiling..
