What is a CPS ?????

Hello,

As stated I am new to the PSD's, I keep seeing the: Carry a 10mm socket and spare "CPS" what the heck is a CPS?

Thanks and dont laugh at me :confused:

They go bad all the time and when it goes bad, your truck won't go at all. Its a 10 min job to replace it and about $90 if you get it at an International dealer or one of the sites sponsors and close to $175 at your local Ford dealer. Get one and it will be insurance that you won't have to replace it.

It lets the PCM know where the engine is at in its cycle so it knows which injector to fire. That is a really simplified way of looking at what a CPS is or does.

Not a laughing matter. If anybody laughs at you for not knowing something, then my advice is don't listen to them when they give you an answer. That is not what this forum is about. We're all here to help.
