What gearing to pull RV

I have a 34' 5th wheel thats about 11,000 lbs. What rear gears should I have in the Diff.

3.73s will get you close to The Best of Both Worlds for a Daily Driver. Low enough for towing yet high enough for some reasonable MPGs.

If you are going to purchase a gas truck, then you might want a lower gear, such as 3.90
Our newer diesel trucks can get away with the 3.73 gears, because of the diesels higher torque.

4.30's work great for me, but we are a bit on the heavy side.
still squeeze out 11-13 towing at 65-70 mph

3.73 will pull what you have and do a good job. 4.10 will pull it easyer but use more fuel.

I would go with the 3.73's. I had 4.10's in my old truck and liked them, but the new one has 3.55's and I really miss the 4.10's when towing. 3.73 would be a good all around gear.

Had 4.10 in the 2000 dually and it pulled great, didn't like the higher RPMs on the highway.

Have 3.73 in the '06 and love them. Good compromise for towing and economy IMHO.
