Ya want to talk about rediculous dealers. About a month ago I had a problem with my horn, it kept going off. Before I go any further let me say this. When I bought my truck none of the local dealers had the truck I wanted on the lot So I bought my truck about 40 miles Away at a dealer in a different state. Anyways I take it to my local dealer and I walk up to him and say.. " I have a problem with my truck and was wondering if you could take a look at it" the guy asks me " Did you buy the truck here?" i said no then he says " Well if you didn't buy it from here then we won't even look at it" I said " What do you mean you won't look at it" then he says " Look kid I am real busy take it where you bought it and get lost". That pissed me off and now I will never go to that dealership for anything cause there managers are totoal screww offs.

A friend of mine snapped the front axle on his GMC 2500HD. He was 500 miles from home, two months out of warranty, but under the mileage for warranty. When he was refused the warranty he called his dealership. Their warranty rep said to get on tape why they wouldn't cover it. When he played the tape that said the warranty was being refused because he had not bought the truck there, two suits from GM showed up and escorted the service manager and warranty rep out of the building. It's called "goodwill service" and cannot be refused just because you purchased your vehicle somewhere else.

Bottom line, if you are refused service, for whatever reason, go higher. Another fraternity brother of mine got work covered under warranty because he found a phone number for Ford headquarters (we attend a well known university for engineering) and explained the situation to them.
