Well I have to say that I am very pleased with it. The drag race feature is prolly going to get me into trouble but it's just so much fun who cares. There is so much to look at and mess with, it should take a while before it's not a new toy anymore. Only part I don't like is how much of my tires are laying on the asphault now.

Why don't you have Jody send you a PCM with one of his tunes on it that is comparable to what you have. That way you can PnP the ECM in and compare it with what you have. As I have seen, those that have had other programs and gone to DP-Tuner have been happy. If not, I would think a return would be in order.

Ummmm....because he's already got some tunes that he's pleased with for now and if he doesn't have the money for the other parts of the Hyperpac what makes you think he has money for a PCM.

Not everyone has to use Jody!

Well, firstly, if he doesn't find it better, I would assume there is some return options. Secondly, I have tried hypertech, SLP and Superchips with their "one size fits all" and while they did do something good, it was nowheres compared to when I got mine custom tuned on a dyno. So, 2nd best would be someone who uses a more refined tuning method. In this case, based on the PCM and makes modifications. Now, I haven't yet tried another "more custom" tuner yet. Jody makes a tune that is closest to a dyno tune as I can get. On my GM, I have used all the different performance chips and while they have done some good, it is nowheres near what Lingenfelter or HiTech Motorsport did for me on a dyno.

Not trying to be a jerk but do you know of anyone else out there that will do a tune instead of a "one size fits all" approach?

Tony Wildman

The original poster is happy for now with his HyperPac and doesn't have the $$ to get a PCM even if he could return it. He will prolly eventually outgrow the HyperPac.

Only way you get a real custom tune from Jody is live tuning like you did. Everything else is "his" off the shelf stuff that he incorporates all that he's learned from his live tuning. That's what all the custom tuners do.

BTW...I've run Bill's "off the shelf" programs from the Evolution, TS chip, DI chip and a DP chip. Jody's a little far for me to do live tuning for my Stealth and soon to be custom injectors. I'll be using Tony Wildman for my next tunes.
