Today's plan was for new rear discs and pads. Ended up ordering bearings and seals for both sides of the rear axle. While everything is apart I replaced all of the E-brake parts as well since they were oil soaked. I did get the front pads and shocks replaced as well. Parts for the rear won't be in until Tuesday. Should have my injectors back from Beans then too.

WELL... after 10 years & 160,000 miles, started getting a intermittent Batt Light lately. Re-cleaned the Batt connections and tested the Alt. out-put... Fluctuating between 12.? & 13.? @ idle, 13 ish above 1500 RPM.

Soooo.. I ordered a new 160 AMP alternator from High Output Alternator, 200-250-300-350 Amp Alternators, high output alternators, Delco Remy,Ford Truck Alternators , $252.81, TMD (to my door) in Cali, From Michigan.. Not a bad deal.. and should fix That.. I'm think'n.

So far: 1 Clutch, 1 Water-pump and 1 Alternator. Not a bad deal.. Either... I'm think'n.

Joe

Got my ESOF and Seals It axle seals in today. ESOF doesn't work and the axles are leaking. And we all know what that means......complete front end tear down for the leak part.

Man this thing is gonna be a job stripping the front end ALL the way down. May have to post my phone number if I get stuck and get a talk thru on some of it LOL

Now that I think about it....should I go ahead and put new ball joints in? yes/no ? Its still tight and I bought it used so I have no idea when they were changed last. Thoughts?

And while I'm in there? tie rod ends?

The bolt off/ bolt on side of this I'm not afraid of......just wondering if I would be replacing parts I don't need to yet?

I will add, I have put 16000 miles on it since I bought it.

Good point Dave. Should have mentioned that.

138000 when I got it, 154000 now. But like I said everything is still tight.

Brakes bled and adjusted, steering box tightened, steering column and column gear shifter lubed, electric window tracks lubed, front end zirks lubed, driver's side electric door lock switch fixed, engine and underside pressure washed, exterior detailed and Alcoa aluminum wheels were polished. :sly
