ok so we have 12v syetems, is that the same as american cars non diesel too?

Hi Folks. I just wanted to let you know how this story ended. After finding that every fuse checked out fine, I got the truck transported to a professional auto shop. I needed some other stuff done anyway. They changed the batteries and found out that the starter was gone. It was bad in the first place, so that was ok. Then the truck started up just fine. They told me I was lucky, because the computer could have been melted just as well. Anyway, I picked up the truck yesterday and it rides like a dream 
Guess I won't be jump starting with 24 volt again anytime soon - maybe more like never again!

Yeah, but I was lucky to get a new one from a warehouse in Sweden. They are much bigger on US trucks in our neighboring country to the east, so sometimes it pays to try there. Otherwise, I would have to order directly from the States. Shipping, toll and so on makes parts at least twice the price when I finally get them 4-6 weeks later.
