its 3.55-superanks exhaustcab 4x4 4inch lift with 35 inch bf goodrich a/t,and a b

My bro has a 96 with a 4.10, pulls in 4th at 65 mph all day long, no problems. I think he gets up around 2700-2800 rpms
65 or 70 is plenty fast for towing you know :D

With those gears and tires your kind of stuck towing in 4th at 2800 rpm.
If you are towing over weight and anything remotely for hire and something happens and you have an accident, you are in deeeeep du du.
Stay with in the manufactures specs and be safe for yourself and the others you share the road with.

3.55 gears and 35 in tires and the lift kit, cuts you back on how much you can tow. Just run in 4th gear at about 60 to 65. it has a gov on it so just keep it around 25 to 2800 rpm. Don't know where your from but if you find some flat land slep it into 5th OD and see how it pulls.

i was pullin a empty trailer that weighs bout 1500lbs and in overdrive i couldnt go past 80,its a tall trailer and catches alot of wind, but overdrive is a dog when pullin,so that many rpms wont hurt the engine huh, just kill my mpg,i wonder what the payload is and how much i can tow

Look on your driver's door post for the sticker that tells you the load carring capacity. That will give you an idea.
