Went out to West Virginia

I was down in Harrisonburg Va doing a side job the last couple of weeks. I finished up yesterday and decided I would head out to WV to see if I could find a peice of property my grandma ownes in Upper Tract Wv.


Since it is just land she didnt have an actual address for the place so I couldnt put it into the gps, so she just gave me rough directions over the phone.

I headed out rte 33 to rte 220n to upper tract. It is beautiful country out there! I loved the mountains.

I never did find my Grandmas property, but I did find some OLD county dirt road/trails. Definatly pretty crazy, Im talking roads where you have to drive through streams and stuff, tight narrow paths where on one side is the mountain and on the other side is a cliff. They were hardly wide enough for the truck to fit on a couple of them.

I have to go back in a few weeks. Hopfully it will be nice again, and I will take some better pics.



Any one on here from around that area? Upper Tract, Franklin...???

while in h-burg, be sure to visit JM's & Calhoun's !

Crutchfield has a store just east of 81 on 33...they
even have an outlet/returns section in the back of
the store...good deals !

riding of that 4wheeler is permitted in the national forest
and there are some trails around the woodstock tower...

Like I said im going back in a few weeks. I will have to try some of those places next time I go out there.

i know a foreclosure in a nice neighborhood in stephens city

if you have kids youll probably want them "schooled" in frederick
county or harrisonburg (city).

harrisonburg is a great little "town" for singles too...
and its growing....buy a condo or two and rent it to students @ jmu !

its not showing under the listings....could be in limbo...it was
the home immediately behind our home....it'd been on the market
almost 3 yrs (owner in over his head, couldnt afford to lower asking
price).

the subdivision is "woodside estates" in stephens city, va.
i81 exit 307...its a nice small subdivision approximately .75mi east
of i81
