There were no prices, no sales men, and no Super Duties. The receptionist showed up an hour early so fortunatly i was able to at least take pictures.

And for those that dont know where Qatar is at, here is a map:

I didnt realize they were doing a GULF (oil) gt40 replica...
theres a guy here (in tomball) w/ a blue one...shows up every
week at the hot rod show (they wont let his car in cause he's
"TOO NEW"...but they let the vipers in).

sweet ride !

HEY MIKE...the MOTOGP (motorcycle race) is in Qatar next week...

Thats cool there is a Ford dealer there. The sad part is Dearborn Michigan has the same writing on the Ford dealerships as the one you mentioned (Arabic or something like that). I bet it's nice to see some American product.

You might be surprised just how popular the American vehicles are over here. The Chevy (Hummer) dealer is pretty big! And the Ford GT is my favorite car.... i would LOVE to own one!

Bushpilot... the blue one (with white stripes) would be the one i would buy. :)

And yes, i know about the MotoGP race here. They had a Ducati 998 in the mall for a display where they sold the tickets. I went to the MotoGP race a few years ago and had a good time, just cant imagine needing to go again; i doubt it will be much different. You a MotoGP fan?

fordtrucker4life! - they have Arabic writing at the Dearborn Michigan dealerships? hmmm...thats odd.

The reason for no prices is that those who can afford American iron in Qatar can just reach in under their robes and pull out a wad of cash.

American cars are big in Switzerland, too. I had my Cavalier worked on at the GM dealer in Geneva. He sold everything from Chevys to Buicks.

Dearborn, MI has the largest Arab population outside of the Middle East.

one the guy drives to the weekly car show is blue w/ the white stripe...
the blue and orange striped should only be had in the original GT40...
the gulf oil racing team version...but they sell for a million plus !

motogp...its more exciting that NASCAR ! im a motorcycle-anything fan fwiw

Mike, these are some cool pics. Thanks for sharing. Sorry they don't have any SD's. You'd think with all the oil available, there'd be plenty of diesel for everyone. Guess the SD's aren't fast enough like the GT's and Mustangs and not flashy enough like the Navigators.
