Weird exhaust noise

if i had to guess id say the GIRL FRIENDS the one that needs
a MUFFLER !

Surely there are some girlfriends out there that wouldn't need a muffler... isn't there?

My rig has a muffler and that "hissing noise" is still as loud as can be when the truck is idling, almost sounds like someone is using a cutting torch.

I guess I'm lucky cause my girl hasn't complained once about my straight pipe, let alone the ebpv.

If I remember right you can get a none ebpv pedestal for your turbo and that will take care of the noise.

you can just unplug it, and it wont come on. i think it will set a soft code, but the engine light wont come on.

Hey Brandon.. I would leave the exhaust open and get some ear plugs for the girlfriend. .... ....

If you unplug it.. You can put a jumper wire across the two terminals on the feed wire and it won't even set a soft code.

(I used a U shaped solder-less connector, cut the crimp end off, RTV'd it)

I had the same "problem" I just unhook the wires in the winter time, then hook them back up when it starts getting around 60*
just make sure you keep the plug out of the way of any moving parts like the belt I usually use elec. tape to secure it so something secure.

thanks for all the help guys, ill probably just unhook it. Just want to add, Ive been to alot of forums over the years, mostly mustangs because iam big into mustangs, but so far just this one post on this site has been the most enjoyable. Usually most people who reply to a post like this tend to be buttholes and dont want to help with your problem, so thanks again.. =)
