Weak Brakes

This happened to me one time, everybody thougth that was the master cylinder, but was a bad front wheel bearing.

had a friend that had a spongy pedal. he kept bleeding his brakes for days, and could never get the air out.....i went and looked at it for 5 minutes and found his hub/wheel was about to fall off.

its hard to make the connection if you havent seen it before

I have a 97 with 159,000 just did the rears for the first time. And have been through 3 vacuum in two years and still having a problem. I would try a ford one if that is your problem

i will never buy another non-ford vac pump again, and thats all i will say on that subject

Better yet. Toss the vac pump. Go with hydroboost.
