Florida wildlife bagged a really really big gator 28'1" long had a hole deer in it mouth.

KTBS helicopter flying over Lake Thomas , Winter Haven , Florida . The helicopter pilot and the game wardens on the ground were in communication via 2-way radios.
Here is a transcript of their conversation.

'Air1, have you a visual on the gator, Over'
'Approaching inlet now, Over'
'Roger Air1'
'Gator sighted. Looks like it has a small animal in its mouth....moving in, over'
'Roger Air1'
'Oh Crap it's a Deer!'
'Confirm Air1.. Did you say Deer?, Over'
'Roger.........a Deer in it's mouth....looks like a full sized buck....that's a big gator, boys. We're gonna need more men, Over'
'Roger Air1.....can you give me a idea on size of animal, over'
'Its a big one.....25 feet at least, please advise, gator is heading to inlet....do I pursue?, over'

Does F&G routinely Cul out the big ones ? Or was this one causing problems ?

No. From what I hear the pilot just happen to fly over and see him with the deer. Was really no intent to kill it other then people are skiing on the lake now and they could see a real problem getting ready to happen soon. If he was in the glades they would have just tracked him.

Kinda the same out here with the Bears. As long as they stay in the wild, they're Good To Go...

thats funny, there was another site I found that had the same photos from someplace in south east GA. This was a email sent from my mom to me from one of her freinds. I got home and plugged my laptop into my big screen and started looking at the deer. That deer is not a florida deer. It's to big, are deer are the size of a boney greatdane dog on a good year. Talked to one of my ranger bud he got the same email. He did not know were the photos came from. But if it was in the glades it would still be alive. Thats still a big gator were ever it came from. I do like they put it in a ford....lol

Here is the true press release on the aligator. It was only 12 - 14 feet long estimated.
