CRJ & ERJ A&P Mech.
so how is the interior and baggage bay holding up? old interior or the NG ?
Everything in the passenger comp and bag bay is manufactured from our facility
Something that I noticed was that removing the seats was more of a PITA on the CRJ's than the Embraers. The locking wheel on the front mounts is recessed. The seat track is surrounded by higher carpeting and/or cabin wall panels. So the front mount locking wheels are in effect in a slot or groove making them harder to turn and we didn't yet have the CRJ special seat tool kit. So we had to "improvise". Supposedly, the special tool kit was located a couple days later. I have yet to use it, so the jury is still out if it's worth a damn. We're still unpacking all the tools & equipment that got sent to us when we assumed the heavy checks for the CRJ.
Tonight I got very up close and personal with all the fuel tanks on the CRJ. I had my head and an arm stuck into every fuel tank access panel on the plane cleaning up residual fuel so the tanks could be inspected. It wasn't much fun, but my crew chief gave me an atta boy for doing a good job. Knowing your efforts are noticed and appreciated is always nice.
