You do make a good suggestion on pulling the A pillar and have someone spray water over the drivers side cab roof area

I'm not sure where your leak is but your getting water on the top and back of your fuse box and it WILL melt!! A new one is about $140 ish. Not bad to change. been there done that, I found the leak on the visor hold down screws on the work truck I was fixing.

Think I found it. My cab lights were full of condensation so I sealed them up. Also, there is a work order fix the ford has for this common problem on these trucks. The top of the cab has two thick caulk lines were the cab is seamed together. After reading the work order from Ford, I came out to look at mine and there were cracks down both lines on both sides. I sealed these up and hope that all is well. I will check out my fuse box tomorrow. Thanks to all for the help.

Drew, where exactly was the water entering on the outer a pillar? Want to make sure I check it out as well. Are there some sort of holes or passages behind the rubber door edge running down the pillar?

My truck had a leak in the windshield seal on the top, driver's side of the windshield. Water was getting under the seal and then running into the truck about 1/2 down the a-pillar on the inside of the truck. Then my a-pillar panel was routing the water forward and down until it dripped directly onto my fuse box.

My truck did the same thing a cpl years ago man, The fuse block shorted out ,the truck tried to start on its own at 4 am too ,it cost me a new fuse block,new starter, windshield,etc,etc, so THAT was cool . I had to take the Windshield out cause a new one was comming and in cleaning the sealing surfaces at the drivers side bottom corner theres a few spot welds that mate the fender rail to the firewall and when all the paint was off I saw that there was a crack at the spot weld. The water came in at that point and followed the harness right into the fuse block and over time just corroded it all inside. Ill try and find the pics for you,Good Luck Bro

I was able to pull the lip of the seal up and fill it completely full of silicone. I started in the upper corner of the windshield (on the outside of the truck) and put silicone about 10-12" down the windshield and also 10-12" toward the middle of the truck (or the rear view mirror). Then I taped the seal down with masking tape until it cured completely. After applying the silicone, I put a piece of wax paper on the door seal before closing the door. That way none of the silicone could get to the door/door seal.
