water heater question

Electric water heater on well water here. Sometimes I flip the hot water heater breaker switch to off if I'm away for more than 5 days but I leave the main water valve open. Heck, I open and unplug the refrigerator too. The only drawback is wanting to take a hot shower followed by a cold beer as soon as you get home.

if ya had a propane/natural gas hot water heater, you wouldn't have that problem...

I had a propane water heater until Y2K when I got the electric unit. It's not a problem.
