Hey all just a heads up was shopping last night with the wife and came out to find my lock busted and stuff stolen out of my truck. So remember that ford lock handles are one of the simplest to brake into so unless you have an alarm or the aftermarket metal plates that back up the handles (jimmy jammer)I would recomend not leaving anything inside the truck when out at the malls or doing you holiday shopping. But if it happens to you its fairly easy to do yourself about $114 dollars to fix myself and an hour and a half labor to replace and install. The build a lock can be a little tricky just dont lose any of the tiny parts (new lock cylinder) and the door handle has only 2 screws, dealer wants over $500 to do same job.

Couldn't agree more!

X3 !!

I think I may have ruined a Scum Bag thiefs day yesterday :dunno

as I pulled into Lowes, I saw a Metal faced, baggie pants, too big sweatshirted/hood up Dirt ball.. looking in cars. I watched him for a minute or two.. got outa my truck, he looked at me.. I looked at "It" and said: What are you look'n for dude ?? "It" took off at a dead run (well, as fast as you can run in baggie pants) and jumped into a POS Toyota...

Got the License # and called the Cops. They said they know the Perp and would BOL for him...

Got a call, then a visit from the Police this AM..

Apparently they stopped the Toyota later on Saturday, on a Parole check. He had several power tools that he couldn't identify by Brand when asked. They had also gotten several calls from people who had had tools taken from their cars/pick-ups while at Home Depot, Lowes and Wal-Mart.

The Police wanted to know if I had seen the guy ACCUALY reach in to a car or pick-up. I hadn't. I only saw him peering into a couple of cars, then look around, then look in some others.

Where It'll go ? I'll prolly never know.. But I'm glad I called'm

Good call. I have been looking at them guess I just need to step up and buy them and get it over with. Don't want anybody to get any crazy ideas. Of course my truck is a one of a kind around here and everybody sees it. They even call me when the wife is driving my truck just to make sure and see who is driving my truck.

one more reason to disable the locking mechanism

great job big joe, he probably never thought anyone would say anything,

anywho, my locks are disabled... if i loose battery power, i have to break a winder :(, which knock on wood hasnt happended yet

but broken winders make more noise and set off alarm which sets off no start no way no how.
hopefully i can get to the truck in time to catch the dipppy ransacking the interior, and say "hello to my little friend"
