Ok here we go. The other day I got my Boost Fooler in. While I was installing it on the I accidently turned the knob. The bad part was I didn't know how many times it turned. I called ITP to see if there was anything that I could do to get it set back to 22PSI. Dennis at ITP said that I would have to remove it and send it back and he would set it back to 22PSI.

Not aproblem, so I took the Boost Fooler off the truck and put everything back to Stock. Was on my way to work the next morning and ran the truck up just to see if it would throw any codes. Truck ran the same up untill it got to 22PSI on the Boost gauge then I heard the truck go PPPSSSSTTTT and the Boost gauge dropped to 12 PSI then the noise went away the Boost came back up and at 22PSI made the same noice.

I thought that maybe it was the Waste Gate opening. Called a Diesel Performance company and asked them. They told me that I would not hear the Waste Gate open. So now I am confusied. Sounds like a blow off valve opening and closeing. Thought that the Waste Gate was like a blow off valve. The funny thing is that I am not throwing any codes. The truck is running the same no different. Hopeing ya'll could help with this. :thanks

Roger that will give it a look see tomorrow. What can I do so that this does not happen again?

You can upgrade to the better boots. Also cleaning the oil out of the IC and doing the CCV delete to keep the oil out helps prevent slipping a boot.

I was going to ask if there was anything that I could do to prevent this from happening again. Also Mike that is a nice looking truck you have there. Must have been on a week long brain fart.:dizzy Sweet lookin ride.:sweet

Were can I buy some new Boots. Have seen them online but can remember were they were at. Thanks

i didnt think these trucks had waste gates....(can you say ebpv)
and why can he just wrench the clamps down on the boots ?

Alright just went and examined the Boots. None of them are off and all are tight. I pulled on the tubes going to the Turbo Y-pipe and to the IC. They are greasy on the outside of the boots but not loose. Going to get some degresser tomorrow and pull the tubes off and clean them really good.
