no i personally havent but i know if you shorten up the waste gate actuator it will in effect cause more boost similar to changing your wastegate over to a bank....

http://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=457 this is the adjustable wastegate. this site also carries the Wicked Wheel, and the ATS quick Spool housing....

i hope my post helped a little

I have heard of plugging the vacuum line that leads to the Waste gate to bypass it. Has anyone tried this? Good or bad?

I've done it. Don't recommend it.

It overspins the turbo IMO. Boost comes up quicker and hits higher numbers but it slowed me down at the dragstrip. Also fuel mileage went down while driving in town.

The WG is there to help relieve backpressure and keep the turbo in it's map. Also it will hit more than 25psi with permormance tuning which is more than the turbo's thrust bushing can handle.

Is there anyway to reduce the effect of the vacuum line. Let;s say an air flow resistor?

There is a way to drill a small hole in it (the red line) but I cant remember where I read that... Best thing to do is remove it and shorten the rod about a turn or two. Or add the turbomaster wastegate rod and take the computer out of the equation! Love mine, want more boost, take a 10mm wrench and give her hell...

Also, the factory turbo is "rated" for 25# boost... You can run it up to 30-32 for short times and it will not blow up on ya... My stock turbo lived 270,000 miles in my 99 running 27-30psi everyday... Still was tight when I sold the truck.
