I have a vibration as I am accelerating, it starts around 30 and ends after 40 mph, it also vibrates as I am decelerating between 30 and 20 but not as strong. If I really punch it, it will go through with out the vibration.
If I had spark plugs I would think it had a bad plug or wire!!!
Any ideas will be appreaciated. thanks.

If you feel it in the driver train...it could be the torque converter. Does it sound like a whine/hum?

No whine or hum, just the shaking vibration, stops as soon as you hit the majic number.
I used to do wheel alignments and balancing in my job, does'nt feel like that.
How can I find out if it is the converter?
Thanks. Roger

There's a way to ground out one of the wires to the torque converter. Try that as your going down the road and see if it still does it. I'm not even sure if you wil be able to have it locked up at that low of speed???

Check out the driveline components closely. Are the u-joints n slip n spline ok? What about the carrier bearing? Yoke tight on the rear axle?
