i think my truck has a skip in it, it feels almost like it does when i run a tank of fuel completely out and switch to the other(duel tanks) its a bad vibration when it accelerates. what could this be, an injector?

You cant run these things empty, the skip you are feeling is air being sucked through the system until you purge it out.

Switch the tank prior to being completely empty or you will ruin injectors.

i think he is saying he ran it empty once upon a time, and the current skip feels the same.

how is it idling?
do the rpms drop lower than normal when you put it in gear (auto)?
does it get worse with more throttle?

you can remove the valve covers and unplug individual injectors to find the dead one, or see if one isnt spitting oil at all.

I'd ask, "Is it in time with the engine rev's, or is it more tied to road speed?"

i think it is still alil skip at idle as well but its not that noticable, it is a 5 speed by the way and it does seem to get worse with more throotle

ok, what the heck is a dual mass flywheel and why's it a weak spot? Also, what are some of the E4OD's weaknesses?

Its intention was to act as a vibration dampener. Its a weak spot because it is a two piece design and has the tendacy to come apart. Replacing it with a solid one piece flywheel is the fix of chioce.

Also, what are some of the E4OD's weaknesses?

We probably should start a new thread instead of hijacking this one. ;)
