I have an 2006. I was at my dealership last week and got the turbo cleaned as it was all sooted up and the unison ring was not moving properly. Luckily they cover it under warranty since it is part of the emissions control system extended warranty. They referred to something called "Cleaning per TSB". Does anyone have access to the info in this TSB? It would be nice to know what is being referred to for down the road when the truck is out of warranty.

The dealership also recommended using a cetane additive they sell to help reduce sooting - for a steal at over $10 per bottle!!

Sounds like you DON'T get on it much. DON'T baby your truck. Drive it like you stole it. This will help keep the soot out of the engine.

If you decide to run the ford additive just put a G on the end of the part number for the $10 bottle and it turns into a gallon can. $40 for a gallon or $10 for 12 ounces, no brainer if you ask me.
